Typically, when a newborn is three weeks or under, they spend long periods of time asleep and will naturally enjoy spending time in the fetal position. This results in them also being comfortable in newborn photography poses.

A diaper. I will provide swaddles and a select amount of client wardrobe that will match their color scheme.

I recommend turning the thermostat up 1-2 degrees Fahrenheit higher than the normal setting in your home. Although I do bring a personal heater, it is important that baby does not get cold in between swaddle changes. Along with a warm environment, I also recommend a quiet environment. Try to avoid extra traffic in and out of your home during this 2-3 hour time slot.

After three weeks of age, babies typically start to spend more time awake, uncurl and grow larger. During this time, babies may also not be able to manage some of the poses you see on my portfolio. If baby is more than three weeks it still is possible to capture beautiful photographs so please still inquire.
